Greetings & Welcome,

I’m Dr. Aneesah Muhammad, Psy.D., M.B.A., a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Maryland. I help individuals, couples, and groups improve conflict management skills, navigate difficult conversations, and enhance mental and relational health. SERVICES

COUNSELING (FOR MARYLAND RESIDENTS ONLY)

Counseling sessions are a welcoming, non-judgmental, and encouraging space where I assess where you are and what your goals are. Then we collaborate and build strategic plans that you can use to improve your relationships and enhance personal growth.

Additionally, clients are invited to learn new skills such as:

Approach: Culturally-Adaptive CBT & Narrative Therapy

You will receive a Good Faith Estimate before services begin, in accordance with federal law (No Surprises Act).

CONSULTING (AVAILABLE NATIONALLY)

Consulting services are not therapy. They are short-term, goal-focused, and action-oriented—ideal for individuals, couples, or groups seeking targeted support.

Consulting is non-clinical and non-diagnostic, and no therapeutic relationship is established.

ONLINE PSYCHOEDUCATION/DISCUSSION GROUPS (FOR MARYLAND RESIDENTS ONLY-NOW ENROLLING)

These are therapist-led groups that provide education on how social messages shape our well-being and relationship satisfaction. Sessions include guided discussions where members explore meaningful topics, reflect on personal patterns, and develop individual and relationship strategies for navigating individual and relationship challenges. The blend of educational and non-judgmental conversation encourages reflection, connection, and new perspectives on lived experiences.

I am now enrolling for psychotherapy groups for the following:

FAQs

Do you offer in-person sessions?

Not at this time. All services are conducted virtually via a secure video platform.

What’s the difference between therapy and consulting?

Therapy is for Maryland residents and focuses on mental health treatment. Consulting is action-based and available nationwide, but it is not therapy and does not include diagnosis or treatment.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance, but I can provide documentation (a superbill) for potential reimbursement. You’ll also receive a Good Faith Estimate as required by law.

What if I’m not sure what I need?

That’s okay—reach out and we can determine if therapy or consulting is the right fit for your goals.
